Originally a class tourism project, this video searches the UP of Michigan for the elusive Yooper. (My apologies to Lake Huron for calling it Lake Erie)

  • "The bridge passes over where Lake Michigan and Lake Eerie collide." WRONG!! It's Lake Michigan and Lake HURON! Lake Eerie does not even touch Michigan....

  • (Note the apology to Lake Eerie in the description of the video.)

  • @jenchapple89 yea i noticed after i corrected. ps i am a neanderthal

  • @killerkillba Well if you'd actually READ the other comments I corrected myself a year ago. Don't call people "dumbfucks" either. Makes you look like stupid because you can't correct someone without sounding like a neanderthal :-)

  • @jenchapple89 bullshit, lake erie does touch michigan, lake ontario dosnt touch michigan, dumb fuck

  • Great job on the vid! Gots to luv dem yoopers, oh yah! Esky is great town to visit!!!

  • I was born in Ontonagon in the western UP and grew up on what had been a farmstead near Bruces Crossing. There were 6 of us kids, 3 boys and 3 of us girls, and we knew quite a bit about saunas, deer hunting, cold, pasties (we learned that pasties originated with miners from Cornwall and the Finns and others had adopted this food when they became copper and iron ore miners in the U.S.), poverty and lack of pretension. Thanks for the video--lots of fun. Lauren Waters

  • This is just a great video! Well done, funny and any Michigander or Michiganian will recognise a lot of those places!

  • I liked your video! i'm from Lansing Mi and I now go to Michigan Tech, and I thought this was a really sweet video!

  • @maxinebootie

Oops! I got Lake Ontario and Eerie mixed up... Sorry about that. You're right.

  • @jenchapple89 Lake Erie DOES touch Michigan, from the mouth of the Detroit River to the Ohio line. That's about 40 miles.

  • give me a job and i will move up dah tomorrow! really
