In all honesty, I hated FF 13. Did not even play the sequel. It feels like I am a gamer born in the wrong time period. I dislike most of the newer games that are being released these days and even in the past couple years.. Games like Lunar SSSC are among my favorites. Give me ten games like this and i won't need another game for the rest of my life! Well, I'd still play other games but I would not NEED to.

This surpasses any game in my opinion. Lunar SSSC will, and will ALWAYS be my favorite game of all time.

Eh you forgot Breath of Fire , if you are looking for the best JRPG , its BoF , this and BoF III and IV blew my heart away =[

@SedoKai That, I think too, is why today's rpgs of any type are in decline (FFXIII anyone?). They just focus too much on the things that will "please the fans" instead of working out a balanced game with both a great story and good graffics. Truly, marketing has taken some of the charm out of rpgs. I look at the art of this game and it just feels...alive. CG may be a hell of a cool thing to see, but somehow it feels a bit cold. What is happening to game designers these days?

Lunar is the best JRPG ever... The best story ever that you'll always remember even after 5 years, just like me~ :)
Why doesn't anyone view these? Both Lunar games were amazing! They stand up to and surpass modern JRPGs...

Modern jrpgs have decreased in quality cause there's too much of a focus on realism and realtime combat, and they havent been able to produce the same spectacular level of stories like the ones in chronotrigger, xenogears, lunar, and vagrant story, among others. It seems like the competition has narrowed too much in video games cause of the ridiculous amount of time and money it takes to produce them now (ie. thousands of snes games compared to hundreds of ps1/2 games and dozens of ps3 games).
