4 stroke or 2. is it tuned

beautiful. I just love small boats. It's amazing how fast yours seems to go with just 5hp. Your outboard engine is pretty quiet too! Nice!

It's a Zodiac. They are extremely light; lighter than any aluminum fishing boat. That is why they can go very fast with a small motor.

Four-stroke. I don't know if it's been hopped up, but I don't think so.

@RadCouncil i dont have a fuel tank yet but manuely poured a shot of gas into the carb and it fires right up but i did try cleaning it a awhile back and didnt seem to help?? Im not sure what year it is caint find it on the motor doesnt say on serial plate. if i did put it on the 8ft what speed do you think i will reach the 15 hp is exactly safe.... to take out the 5hp might be a better option for fishing and duck hunting lol

@62ermaFF A 15hp on an 8 footer?! That must be amazing! I'll be watching for your video. A good cleaning of your carb should do the trick to get your motor going again.

Das glaube ich auch!
"That is a dream. Flat water (calm). And the boat glides over the water."

@skyelevator You are the one who needs to grow up. I'm the person who's going to be laughing when you fall out and get run over by your own boat. Grow up.
Hi,
I am planing to buy an outboard like this. How much was the total weight and could the boat get on plane? Did you use hydrofoil?
chickendog2009 1 year ago
total weight onboard was ~200. No hydrofoil. With that it totally got on a plane fairly easily.

is it possible to go on a complete plain ? Or do you have to sit up towards the front of the boat?

It helps to move forward a little to help it get on a plane but I don't have to go all the way to the bow.

I took my little GPS out with me the other day. I got up to 13 knots with 170 pounds onboard on flat water. It is a great little motor. It just sips the gas.
