Action at the Horshoe Curve

A PRR Q2 pulling a heavy freight with a J1a pushing. They are passing a PRR T1 demomstrator pulling a 9 car passenger consist on the Horshoe Curve.

@trainengineerpilot That's exactly why I think Scale Trax, by MTH is the best track system you can get. Even relatively close, the middle rail is nearly invisible.

Thanks for looking. I just retired from the Army, so the track you see has been disassembled, but I will eventually build that layout in my retirement home.

Scale Trax is not tubular it is solid nickle silver T-rail and I have found it to be much less expensive than Atlas. A #6 turnout is about $51, the same in Atlas is about $75. I also don't like the T-rail used for the center rail in Atlas (too big). Scale Trax uses a blackened blade rail, much less noticable.

All my trains are O-scale, 1:48.  I have one Q2 made by 3rd Rail, it is made of brass. The one in this video is diecast metal made by Mikes Train House.

Very nice are you ever going to get this on a board and make new video , I hope so very nice ..I built a 30 x 8 3 level layout for my friend and i used atlas track which turned out ok ...little cheaper then scale track ....but just as nice scale track is tubular atlas is solid T rail he has more in the track then the engines and cars ..I dont have any good video but i should put what I have on you tube ...maybe soon
