Images from the November 18, 2008 commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the Carl D. Bradley, stone-carrying freighter from the port of Calcite in Rogers City. Photographed and produced by Richard Lamb, publisher, Presque Isle County Advance and PIAdvance.com
I was lucky enough to meet Frank Mays at an event in Port Huron and hear him tell his story. Hearing him tell it is something you never forget. God bless Frank and the crew and families of the Bradley.

I grew up on Lake Ontario. This is a very touching and hallowed event. It is unfortunate that the lakes have taken so many good people away. We should never forget those that have given so much for us also keep the loved ones they left behind in our prayers...............Thank you.
