@taggart81 this makes me so sad.

I absolutely love this version!

wonderful performance! although I have a strong musical background and appreciate Marty Haugen, I haven't served as a church musician for ages and I came over here because the church where I'll be guest organist day after tomorrow is using this Gloria that's new to me, but apparently not to lots of other, and I wanted to see how other people interpreted it. Nice organ and grand playing, too, thanks!
-
what stops would you suggest to play the Gloria with if you only have two manuals?
-
@dino7220 You're out of luck if you thought Haugen would let this one die with the 2010 Roman Missal. GIA just release the new version ;-)

BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to your music director! Excellent organ playing!!!! Beautifully sung as well. Keep up the great work giving God true honor and glory through music.

if this isn't the most played out, overdone piece of music in the church, it has to be right up there with Eagles wings. next year thankfully it will have to be retired because of the new translation. some thing makes me eerie about a piece call Creation Mass, too. a little bit of nature worship creeping in.
execution was grand, and the organ sounds glorious. i hope you use it on some more elevated pieces as well.

The organ is magnificent. The unpredictable, too-high Gloria that is the epitome of how *not* to write something that a congregation must sing every week of their lives, is not.
-
Well, look at that. I DO like something Marty Haugen is responsible for. Before this moment, I thought I like nothing he did.

@SchrodingerHatedCats Thanks!
Can you please let me know what your Registration was (The Stops Used) ?
