United just scammed me out of $2,000 over a stupid name mistake. I bought a ticket for my mom to visit me in Guam (not cheap) and somehow her name was given the same as mine.

I keep coming back to watch these videos. It's such an amazing story, how Dave responded to a negative situation so positively, and actually made a difference. There's a million ways a person could have responded, and I doubt any of them could be better than this.

What do they have against Taylor Guitars? No one complains about them breaking Martins or Gibsons. Maybe Taylor Guitar cases aren't very good.

PS: United doesn't know sh*t about "gate checking" either. The guitar was taken from the foot of the stairway in Kona, HI and returned to me damaged in Tucson, AZ (10 hours later)...

Tuesday/Wed - May 28/29, 2013 - On one of two delayed flights, United cracked the face of my ($2500) Taylor Guitar. I have been taking this guitar on board to safely fly for years on other airlines but United wouldn't allow it on board.

They haven't learned a god damn thing! I'm going to avoid United at any cost -- and I'm walking that guitar on board no matter WHICH airline I fly in the future...
