This crossing falls on the Alabama & Gulf Coast RailRoad. 2 cantilevers with gates and 2 median signals with gates. All have 12X24 Progress LED lights and EACH SIGNAL has a GS E bell. The leading unit was a Rail America. The middle unit was a Ex Burlington Northern, and the rear unit is a GSWR or Georgia SouthWestern Railroad. This railroad is hard to get a train on because it gets very low activity, so when I saw the lights come on, I was shocked. Wasn't expecting a train on THIS line, so enjoy this nice footage.

  • Give Andrew's comment thumbs up viewers! His comment wasn't against the train. He was saying if that train wasn't awsome, nothing else is better. This is a positive comment!

  • How many trains cross that road per day?

  • anywhere between 1-3 a month.

  • That explains why I don't see anything when I'm over there. Seems the same with the track running along highway 90 between milton and holt.

Good catch, especially that ex-BN unit.

  • you can find all sorts of old locomotives on this line. I have seent he BN, CN, GT, GRSW. You name it. When one shows up, there will usually be a real treat on it. And a AGR usually runs on Mondays and Fridays, in the mornings.

  • @Crossingman18 why so little activity?

  • @Trainking922 because its a short line route. It goes from Here to the Alabama State docks. The line use to connect to The CSX Goulding yard and collect more freight, which was what that old spur line was for when BNSF owned the line that use to cross over palafox, which that line now is getting ripped up. Thats really the reason this line doesnt get much activity. The AGR line in Alabama get more usage there than here. It usually takes out 2-3 trains a week.
