I completely agree with you about needing some immaturity to take a break from the seriousness of reality... like, my girlfriend's mom told me I need to quit with collecting toys and playing video games. I just laughed and told her it would never happen because it's my way to relax.

I need to get back into modelling, but I haven't had enough money to afford any new kits, even though a lot of kits that I want have been released..

Painting is fun when you're in the mood. But alas, when I'm in the mood to paint then it suddenly rains. T_T I know your pain.

I agree with your point. I used to only get model kits when I started getting back into Gundams. Then I started getting action figures and I understand the quick fix of a simple kit and picking up a figure and messing around with it for 5-10 mins. Everything has something different to offer and there's really nothing wrong with that.

Man i wish i had your weather, Texas is hot everyday and nights.. We get 101 and i hate to paint in this heat because sometimes sweat drops on parts can ruin your day.. I can say that i have problem with painting because i have 2-3 model kits unbuilt because i look at it and say, "dam, i have to paint this MG Wing, dam i gotta paint that Liger Zero".. Plus i forgot i have an SD RX-78 FA that hasn't been painted for about 2 yrs... Dam i need to paint that kit.. X3

...repaint of a BB toy alone. I'm planning to swap out Nitro BB's arms for DotM Deluxe BB's arms. I'm also going to use another TF toy's head. It's not an extensive kitbash but it's fairly simple and I think using Nitro BB as a base body with all the MechTech ports is perfect for CJ as Nitro BB has a bulkier body and the mechanized/weaponized look is perfect for CJ. Now all I have to do is figure out the best way to repaint the figure.

I have to admit that the main factor in my extended absence from YT, despite several attempts in the past few months to get back into reviewing, is that I didn't feel 100% motivated and inspired. It wasn't until I admitted to myself that I lost my sense of fun in my hobbies that I could turn things around again.

Incidentally, I've been planning to use Nitro BB in a kitbash project. My idea is to make a Bay movie styled Cliffjumper but not a...

@VersusEclipse You're gonna be getting a lot of dirty comments...LOL... Anyway, I know what you mean about getting caught up with stuff in life and not really being motivated to make & paint a GunPla kit. It's sort of why I still have not started making MG 00 Qan[T] and the MG 00 Raiser. I have brand new Tamiya X (acrylic) paints, brushes, a hobby knife, etc all that I got brand new & still not used, but I can never get myself to just start.

I like to fiddle around with my figures when I'm bored. Nothing wrong with playing with figures.
