Has society, the economy and years of turning our back on Detroit ruin the city forever? Is Detroit lost in its own name? We spoke with a few Detroit local entrepreneurs, activists and volunteers to see what they thought. What is your perception?

  • The video is okay. I am a bit disappointed that people keep projecting the City's image by using white people in a City that is so diverse. It's okay to show African Americans, Mexicans, Arabs etc. Stop making Detroit look so white, because it is not. People of color are doing great things in the City too.

  • What a great video to help change the perception of Detroit and expose the reality...not the stereotype of Detroit.

  • Phillip Cooley and the others in that clip are such a cool people, doing good work. Bravo/brava!

  • @lauradet

its your kind of race baiting and inciting that brought violence to these cities in the first place. how about you try just saying "great work, keep it up" next time.

  • Hi lauradet!

Thank you for your comment! I agree with your diversity concern. Unfortunately, this video was shot in one day and all interviewees of other diversity denied their right to be interviewed on film.

I can truly appreciate your passion for equalization. I believe that any and all people doing great things in and for Detroit should shine, as does my crew of different diversities.

I wish you all the best!

  • Need more of this kinda stuff. Great work!

  • I love Detroit too. Very sad what's happened. It is still alive, I can feel it. It's always waiting for your love. It has history, and many dreams were dreamt there.

  • Show the Detroit love!

  • Love that they interview Traffic Jam and then show a shot of Motor City Brewing Works.
