  • Yea now the whole world will get to see a Haka on the Big screen

  • Ye, I've got to say, being a South African myself, Damon's accent is very impressive. He truely is a great actor. I would love to see more on how he truely felt and what he was left with being in South Africa. Love the comment on the tongue gymnastics. That's exactly how I feel about the American accent.

On another note, the spam sux and is rediculous.

  • Hmmm...no mention of poisoning our boys. Jeff Wilson and Josh Kronfeld puking their guts out on the sidelines...remember watching that in disbelief in '95 with the rest of my U21A squad. "Smash the man with the ball and drink beer afterwards..." haha...not a bad call for a yank.

  • he is soo hot in the movie!!!!

  • I LOVE Matt Damon <3 x

  • @Munki6 that's not the point when adopting a true life person as character you only have so much artistic license. Freeman sounded more like Mandela. Damon as a professional actor should not be excused for failing at adopting the part convincingly as a fan it kinda ruined the movie for me and thats why i don't think he should have played the part

  • @Chaosfromthedemon well if you had to be pedantic about it, no, Damon sounded nothing like Pienaar. Freeman didn't really do Madiba's accent as well either I find, but I rate it was a good attempt. At least they weren't incredibly far off. You've just got to remember it's a movie firstly, and secondly a movie depicting something that really happened - it can't possibly be absolutely perfect. At least they got the point across. Anyway, that's just my take. Each to their own hey.

  • @Munki6 no lets be hones. I could atleast believe Freeman was Mandela but Damon was absolutley nothing like Pienaar and usually youtry to get actors who can be convincing as the person the are playing

  • @Chaosfromthedemon This oke's an actor not an athlete. His accent was not perfect and it sounded forced, but he did a decent job for a yank. Even Freeman's Madiba impersonation wasn't perfect and his eyes aren't chinky enough...see how stupid that sounds... Both of them did a brilliant job I reckon.

  • shit that is a terrible face accent
