I last heard this 27 years ago, when I saw the film on TV. It has stayed with me ever since, and I never thought I'd get to hear it again. I noted down part of the lyrics then, and only tonight did it occur to me to search YouTube for it. Thanks for aking it available here.

Sorry, Jonny, It isn't possible to get a copy of the film at the moment. It was on VHS for a while, but they have all been sold, and it isn't available on DVD. The best I can offer is possibly a copy of the novel.

please , is there eny way of gaining a copy of this film , it has such personal meaning to me , a young boy in sheffield playing in our "great" band in thatchers britain & feeling the bitter sweet thrill of a first love !

Hi there Ray. I was 9 when this film came out on channel 4. My mum loved it so much, she used to perpetually play the song end-to-end! It inspired me to play the guitar. I used to sing and play it in the folk clubs around Manchester.

I would love to have the lyrics or cd of this version; is a soundtrack or DVD of this 1983 UK "Forever Young" available anywhere...not the Mel Gibson one...thank you

It was a Channel 4 production, only shown on TV. I have never been able to find on CD.
