Phone Scam! Beware of someone calling from (876) 397-9318. The person that called me used that number and said that his name is David Price. He has a Jamaican accent and asked me to send $399 to someone named Jerome in Canada for them to hold for 45 minutes and as soon as I returned with a receipt to prove to him that I sent the money FedEx would make a delivery of $1.5 million.
This is a scam. There are so many things wrong with what he said that it makes him sound so stupid, but some people may fall for it because he is confident and persistent. The phone number may change, he may change the name he goes by, and the amount they ask to send my change, but the scam is the same. Just ask yourself..Does this make sense? Sending money to receive a prize? They may try to "sell" you something requiring you to wire or send money somehow next and then you never receive the "item"...who knows.

Here's what you should do:
Waste his time as much as you can. Keep him on the phone and ask stupid questions. If this does not cost him a lot of money for the phone call, at least you are preventing him from taking money from some sweet little old lady. You know that is the type of person they are looking for.
