I recorded the backing track for this piece yesterday afternoon using the piano and various body parts. The video is of me playing the last part - the head or tune. Very cheesy, but very fun to make!

  • You certainly can't take credit for this rendition though- It sounds like an attempt to recreate the recording of the song on Herbie Hancock's Album "Head Hunters" So...

  • Well, Herbie wasn't answering his phone that day so I guess he was too busy to come n play with me. Next time I guess

  • did you use an actual cuica?

  • Haha. I wish, but no that's "voicebox" cuica if you get what I mean.

  • strange shit i don't like electro parts. you have to feel jazz. sorry

  • There are no electric parts man, it's all recorded on that acoustic baby grand piano you see there. (and me doing stupid things with my voice and mouth)

Thanks for making me feel inadequate.... :(

In all seriousness, though, that was completely epic. I really liked how all the tracks fitted together to make an excellent rendition.
