I think we would have possibly found out that Canon Black's first name was Thomas and he was Asmoth guarding the Cathedral and its grounds... should the story have continued - its just a theory... : ]

As many would be aware, Sir Ian Richardson (Canon Black, also famed for roles in House of Cards, and Hogfather) sadly passed away in 2007. I'm sure we all have favourite male actors for the type of role he played- mine being David Warner, or perhaps Charles Dance- but nobody is quite the same.
Rest in peace, Sir Ian Richardson. Thankyou for the memories.

i really like this show and have leved watching them all again........ but have to admit last episode was really weak compared to all the rest.
No Demon just a Coincidence that a guy was doing the same thing. would have been alot better if guy was Asmoth and disapeared again or something... or some one else was Asmoth..... anything other than he was eating body bit to stay under water for longer

A sign of a good show is when someone keeps returning to it to watch it again - I'll never tire of these characters and plots. There's something about these seven episodes that really stir something in me. Such a shame they didn't renew this, and demons are really in right now, aren't they? Such a tight, quality series ;D anyway, thanks to the uploader for taking the time to put these up here! <3 (I'd make a petition in a heartbeat!)

If Canon Black is Adolphus, his curate known as Doddington has Thomas as a first name? Or maybe Canon Black has a middle name? We will never find out! It is a shame that Network DVD cannot produce this as a stand alone DVD or the BBC ( they had no intention of this when I rang them shortly after it had finished) could bring it out. It was shown on the Sci-Fi channel a few years ago - but nothing since. Petition the BEEB?

we need closure! theres so much left unanswered. Its such a shame, i mean the series ends and the main character is in a coma for god sake! i love this series but the ending really spoilt it for me, they need to do a second series.
