@Kokomokox, yes bonsai means "potted tree" -TREE. do you see the important word? here i'll type it slower, T R E E. not sculpture. and bud any tree or other woody plant can be a bonsai. (fool)

@AmateurShows uhh bonsai means "potted tree" so yeah it is. people make artificial bonsai all the time.
Also I hope you know that bonsai is not a species.

Really fabulous work! The best I have ever seen. In particular this and the large cascade. I have been tending and growing bonsai for more than 40 years and now have well over 200. If I had had your inspiration and talent back when I started, I would have had great works of art to admire with having to water them every day...maybe in my next life. I hope you are doing well by this art and still making them.

@TheJimford Thanks for the kind words. I am currently working on a series of snapshots that show the creation process of one of my tree sculptures. Have several that need restyling. Someday I may make a tree that has better ramification, however they become more fragile with each additional branch. I admire your dedication to your live trees. I am down to a few from many. Couldn't keep up the maintenance. That's one of the reasons I began making them. Thanks again ,Jim
