Riding Lesson 26/10/08

This was such a fun lesson, it really helped me get my confidence back after horse camp when I fell off 2 times! Lucy is such a sweet horse she was very patient with me =D my mum was my instructor cos she used to work with horses and is still a great horse-woman ^_^
We did a little bit of flatwork, my cantering and trotting defiantly need some work but I do feel I improved a lot =D I had much better control (even though Lucy loved going over to the video camera because she felt she needed the spotlight for a moment lol)
I loved jumping too it was so fun!

Afterwards we went out on the tractor to feed all the horses, which was an adventure in its self =)

I didnt edit the video too much because I wanted to see it rather then have heaps of flashes.
I know my feet and position was a little weird, you can give advice if you know what your talking about but I do know what Im doing wrong so yeah

LUCY the horse is actually pretty bouncy to ride i think this young lady has a great seat and the only things i can see that need to be said are maybe up your stirrups one or two holes, sit a bit deeper and try be lighter on your hands remembering everyone this is a trail horse that at times can be quiet stubborn and set in its ways she gets my vote coz i no first hand lucy is bouncy to ride...oftr rules

Well done for having a go! I would have to say that you are a little unstable, I would shorten those stirrups a few holes to help you balance a little better, that and sitting back will but you deeper into the saddle.

Other than that you looked really good and your pony is super cute!

please dont think im being mean or anything i just wanted to give u some advice..u dont have to take it its just if u want..sit in the saddle move along with the horse but dont go wto far back neighter.

lift hands up a bit and sit in saddle and sit straight at canter lol .. nice work tho
