After a few tough years in the Minor League, the Cubs took a chance on me by drafting me into Little League at age 11 -- a diehard fan was born!! Growing up in northwest Pennsylvania the only access to the Chicago Cubs was via the newspaper. Every day when the newspaper arrived I would turn immediately to the Sports section and read the previous day's summary and the box score for the Chicago Cubs. This passion for the Cubs has been with me ever since. I am proud to say that my wife and four children are huge Cubs fans as well.
My passion and knowledge of the game is my qualification. I have played the game of baseball through high school; I have coached both baseball and girl's fast pitch softball; and most importantly, I have a fevered exuberance for my dear Cubs. My respect and understanding for the game of baseball is deep and strong.
My mid-western baritone voice rings through the air with command and clarity. The microphone is my stage and those within an audible distance are captives of my humor and tone. My training ground includes: The Second City in Chicago, announcing freshman and junior varsity football games, starting line ups for High School baseball games, and I have delivered presentations (technical/motivational) to small and large audiences throughout the US, in Canada, South Africa and Mexico; I have also served as the auctioneer for local charity events, and with each speaking opportunity I take great pride in being able to engage an audience that makes each person believe they are the only one in the room. My engaging style blended with a touch of humor always treats the audience with dignity and respect. I have been in training for this opportunity my entire life and would view it as an honor to be named as the Cubs PA announcer -- Holy Cow!
I would be honored to be a part of every home Cubs game committed to enhancing the fan's experience at Wrigley Field. The infectious passion I have for the Cubs and the thrill of being at Wrigley Field would radiate to the fans through my voice and the delivery of accurate, informative and fun information making the overall experience at Wrigley Field "fan-tastic." The fans will want to return to the "friendly confines" because they received the entertainment they expected for the price of admission. If I do my job right, then the "W" flag will fly in the hearts of every Cub Fan after each home game.
