damn that sounds real good.

The 1:5 is using gas... not nitro .. :P like the real cars.

The car is made in Germany by FG modelsport (1/5 scale competition car). It has a 23cc engine which runs on gasoline (unleaded petrol mixed with oil). One thing I like about this car is the 4 wheel disc brakes. It drives just like a real rear wheel drive car.

1/5 and sizes around there are not nitro. They are gasoline, and they're special cars. HPI offers a couple gasoline models. You can order it from the site, or you can ask your local hobby store.

Depending on the motor and set-up, I think these cars can go up to about 80-100kmh. Not as quick as nitro cars in a tight circuit because it is only 2wd (compared with the 4wd 1/8 and 1/10 scale cars), its quite heavy (about 10kg) and the motor only revs to about 19000 rpm (compared with about 40000+ rpm for nitros). You really have to drive these cars like a real car.

Hi, I actually race both nitro on-road and my FG. With the FG, I have a really good time racing it as feels like a real car. It is very important to correctly set-up the car (camber, tire compound, toe, etc). Once set-up, it is then important to get your driving technique right. At the end your driving will really improve. Downside of the FG is if you crash the car, you will do more damage. Nitro cars are lighter and cheaper to fix. I race my nitro when I feel the need for speed.
