okay i have gh3 guitar for ps3 and i bought rock band wbut when i plugged my guitar hero guitar in it didnt read the guitar as a guitar it read it as a microphone do you think maybe you could help?

I don't have a PS3 but I suggest turning the system on with the guitar already plugged in.

I never said that at all! Whoever bought Guitar Hero made the third one, then Harmonix released Rock Band around the same time. Then the people that made GH said "Full band games aren't the way to go", but Rock Band was successful so they copied it. Then Rock Band was a lot better so they are copying it more in GH5.

What was that replying to? GH4 and RB are made by different companies, yes. Rock Band 1 was made around the time Guitar Hero 3 was made. The creators of Rock Band made GH 1 and 2 as well.

Yes. Even after Harmonix left the franchise, it just seems like GH has more personality than RB. Not that RB is anywhere near bad though.

You know the people that made Rock Band made 3 or 4 Guitar Hero games, then realised it would be a good time to sell it and make a better game.
