Stephen Vickery

The song chosen for this video is called 'Day is Done', recorded by folk singer and poet Nick Drake and it has been selected personally by Stephens sister, Lisa.

Recorded in 1969 it is taken from an album called 'Five Leaves Left', the title coming from an O.Henry short novel 'The Last Leaf', in which a woman states that she can happily die when all the leaves have fallen from her tree.
She goes on to state that it will not be long, as there are only five leaves left.

The photos have been gathered from Stephens family and also from Stephens friends.

A collection of Stephen's poetry titled The Sun Is Often Out, is in the works and due to be released very soon. It has been beautifully designed by Stephen's close friend Robert Sollis, reproducing all of his completed works from between 2000-2008. This is a not-for-profit project and is being done in order to allow Stephen's work to be shared with a wider audience. More info to follow.

He was a sweet-natured, generous bloke, very creative and a little bit odd, had a great sense of humour, liked banana cake and making mix CD's. He's very missed.
