  • I literally made it in 1 hour not even so I wouldn't be surprised if a few facts are mispoken or wrong since I live in another country & used old books from the local library from the 70s-90s. They each said different things,I knew that painted eggs were around for ages it's just popular in my family (Old romanian family members had them & are Jewish so maybe there was some different cultural differences on my end). I did that 7 years ago for a college project because I am mostly Romanian.

  • Nice vid, but just a few things...

Romania is not a poor country. Just because about 40% of the population lives in rural areas doesn't mean they're poor, they just prefer the traditional way of life.

Those eggs, "oua incondeiate", or "pysanky" in Ukrainian, did not just up and start in the Communist era. This art has been done for thousands of years and predates Christianity.

Oh and "Dragostea Din Tei" is in Romanian, but the O-Zone, the group that sang it, is from Moldova.

  • This was made when I was 17, Im now 22- it has been 6 yrs since created. Current Romanian ART&culture books were hard to find (we couldnt use internet). I did not slur the poor-technically they aren't wealthy-but that is a fact due to the agrarian culture (which I support & crave myself). I was not slandering it; also, I did not state that the eggs originated there, it just became popular at the time due to forced censorship. I had to cut a lot out due to time restraints. Thanks 4 the input! :)

  • interesant pentru straini, aducere-aminte pentru romani.....interesting for foriners, recalls for romanians,

    ...felicitari,congratulations...

  • Thanks :p

  • how did you end up doing a project on Romanian culture?i didn't know our culture is being studied in other countries.you got most of it right except for some things.just like royouth17 said we are NOT poor.40% of our people live in the countryside because they chose tradition instead of a modern society(i'm a Romanian city boy but i love my country's culture)and i'm definately not poor but not rich either.the painted eggs are a tradition that has lasted for centuries, they're not communist.

  • 3:10! That's in a town called Targoviste! That's where i live! Targoviste was the capital of Wallachia( one of the romanian contries). This is the place where 33 rullers of Wallachia lived! Thanks for not forgetting Targoviste!

  • This is an adorable video. My friend Cuno,,,is the Romanian who lives in Romania..and she shared your vid with me. I too would like to visit this lovely country...someday.

  • My teacher yelled at me because she wanted me to do a vocal speech, (Which is TECHNICALLY IS!) and then gave our entire group a B! Because she was mad at me!!
