@MrUtubesux It underwent a blackout about two-four weeks ago because of SOPA. If the people failed to speak up for free knowledge, Wikipedia may have met its end.

MegaUpload was a file hoster. They were not responsible for the illegal activity that their users were engaging in, though they of course profited from it. In essence, the takedown of that site is pretty much what everyone was getting all excited about in PIPA and SOPA.
This just tells me that they dont really need the proposed legislation to pull off the censorship and ppl. will even say that it is a good thing!
