The preseason mistakes and inability to take advantage of
opportunities spilled over into the regular season Sunday in Chicago as the Falcons suffered a humbling 30-12 loss to the Bears.
The Falcons turned the ball over 3 times, gave up a slew of 20+ yard plays and committed numerous mistakes uncharacteristic of the team that has played such a disciplined and fundamental-focused brand of football under Head Coach Mike Smith.
The loss dropped the Falcons to 0-1 on the season, as the club opens their home slate next week against the Philadelphia Eagles......Catch the RECAP @ http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=310911003
BUT, ALL IS NOT LOST!!!...THE ENTIRE NFC SOUTH LOST ON SUNDAY!!...SO, NEXT WEEK WILL BE THE "NEW SEASON OPENER" AGAINST THE EAGLES AT HOME...WE START WITH A "NEW SLATE"
@ATLSPORTSFAN ...Yep, we have a "New Season Opener" against the Frillies @ the DOME. I'll be there, with NEW SEATS IN ROW # 1 (Better View). THIS WILL BE THE GAME OF THE WEEK as "Vick Cough Drops" returns to the Dome....we'll be waiting for his LOL "Wildcat" plays.

I honestly think Mularkey plays Madden while he calls the plays. I think Van Gorder is under the impression that a middle school level defensive scheme will work in the nfl!!! We need to pull our heads out of our asses and get ready for the Eagles! GO FALCONS!
