This Woman's Work- The (D)escendants {dedicated to flashingfly}

Hey guys! So I was not expecting to have this done in a day, but hey I'm not complaining! This was definitely one of my favorite movies of 2011, it's one of those films that the more you think about it the more you like it... well at least in my case. Alex is also one of my favorite characters of the year because she is just so realistic. She grows so much during the movie and I really loved seeing that journey. Now if we could only get Shailene to quit Secret Life (seriously that show is just a waste of her talent)... This is really just a story about people, and those are always my favorite movies.

This is dedicated to Ellie aka flashingfly, because her film videos are always so beautiful and this doesn't really compare, but hey I gave it a shot:)

Speaking of movies, I'm probably not going to be online much next week because I'm going to the Sundance Film Festival! I'm so so excited! So yeah if you don't see anything from me next week that is why.

I've been waiting to watch this video since you posted it because I was DYING to watch this movie... I work in a theater and just haven't had the time... until today... I got out earlier than expected and what do you know, the descendants was starting in ten minutes. Anyhow, I loved this film. Shailene definitely showcased her talent in this. You've done such a remarkable job at telling this story. And WAH, paired with this song... more tears, yes, one of the only times I've cried in a theater.

I loved what you did with this video, and I think it matched the sentiments of the movie perfectly. The movie actually means a lot to me, because I went through something that was quite similar, so, the fact that you made a video about this movie really makes me happy. :)

Loved this video, thank you for creating it. The movie was so touching, I thought I was bias because I'm from Oahu and I met the author of the novel. Then when I saw the movie I felt all this nostalgia because I've been to about 80% of the places they filmed, but it really is a beautiful movie. You captured the feelings and characters so well in this video, the editing was superb. Have fun at Sundance, I am also very jealous.

ohh my god, you dedicated it to me? jesus, what have i done to deserve this... god this was so emotional, and so so perfect. the way you color your videos is genious, it never fails to amaze me. and your pacing, use of b&w & blurs? ugh just... so goddamn perfect, hun. i truly need to watch this movie RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT NOW. anyway, i'm pretty sure this video will go on repeat for the next few days.
