@rebelswithoutaclue it is called the followthrough and it is used because the bow naturally wants to jump forward once the arrow is released so that is the archers way of letting it jump but also staying in control.

Whats the reason for letting the bow rock down after the shot? i only ask because a lot of pro target shooters seem to do it.
