Showtime's "Live Nude Comedy" Whitney Cummings

Whitney Cummings not only stars in the new stand-up showcase, "Live Nude Comedy," but also helped produce the series for Showtime, which debuts at midnight, July 16, 2009. (Actually, 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern July 17).

Cummings talked to The Comic's Comic about why she wanted to help showcase younger stand-up comedians on TV in a different way, and also how it's a throwback to the old days of stand-up, when comedians performed in burlesque clubs. Actress Shannon Elizabeth hosts "Live Nude Comedy" and will perform in brief sketches each episode.
