The Chrono::Engine multibody dynamics engine was used to perform the simulation. Results were rendered in POV-Ray. The simulation represents a collection of about 2000 bodies (ellipsoids, cubes, and cylinders) falling to the ground. The simulation includes full simulation of all contacts and impacts in the system. By carefully choosing the color for each body at the start of the simulation, an image emerges as the simulation finishes.

This work was performed by the Simulation Based Engineering Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
