You can that about the defensive unit, but performance speaks for itself. They were awful last year and unless anything is done about it in the off season nothing will change.

Volchenkov, Phillips are both top defencemen.
Lee and Campoli are young and coming up offensive defensemen.
Smith is a veteran strong defenseman.
We'll see how this works out this time next year.
I do miss Emery though.

Yeah because your D is AMAZING. Really next to tampa bay you have the worst defensive system in the league right now. Ottawa sucks without Ray Emery standing on his head every game.
LeClaire is OK. But he needs good D to play exceptional.
