  • This is very important part of Louisiana Creole culture and American History. This is especially important to me because I have creole lineage from New Orleans. I hope and pray that the Mardi Gras Indians tradition is kept alive.

  • @quicksilverwade The Tangipahoa and the Houma tribes, that's who. If you don't know or understand how native Americans and Africans united in New Orleans, shut up and learn something. Natives gave runaway slaves shelter and membership into their tribes through intermarrying, etc. This tradition is at least 200 years old.

  • Love it. They play a big part in New Orleans/Louisiana history. Cute kids. I'm adding this to my favorites. :)
