National Anthem at the United Center: Blackhawks vs. Canucks: Game 6: May 11, 2009

A view from the top of the rafters of Jim Cornelison giving his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the United Center before game 6 of the NHL Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Chicago Blackhawks went on to defeat the Vancouver Canucks 7-5 in what was possibly the most exciting game ever played at the United Center. This win sent the Blackhawks to conference finals.

awesome experience. The national anthem at the blackhawks games are always a highlight. You cant even hear jim sing!

you know it!!! pens hawks 92 final, my mom just happened to walk in the room during the national anthem with Wayne singing the lyrics....she was almost in tears when he hit that last high note...

Organist Frank Pellico has always played the music for both "O Canada" and "The Star-Spangled Banner" when someone sings both, or just the latter, whether it's Wayne Messmer or the guy you just heard here.
