@Novaheart1998 but you can record yourself experimenting and creating tones that you could never recreate 100% on a synth or on a computer, and then you can sample certain parts and piece them together so that a melody appears....mr. bungle has utilized circuit bending a lot(especially in the disco volante album) and also the residents....mr. bungle is weird enough for lots of people, so i think the residents would make your head explode out of fear and confusion!

what's the point?

is that a xbox 360... no okay sounds like it

@normloman The other advantage with 'circuit bendering' is that you don't need any native talent for electronic design or even any fundamental understanding of the first principles of basic electronic engineering .
All you need to do is get somebodies product and torture it blindly so that it makes a funny noise. Then build a case and hope your creation doesn't blow up while you're building it.

atari effects sounds?

Circuit bending's advantage over synth building is that circuit bending is cheap. You can find the toys at thrift stores for next to nothing, and salvage parts from broken appliances. I've build synth-like circuit bent toys for under a dollar. Show me a synth kit for less than a dollar.
Not to mention, you never know what your going to get with circuit bending. The surprise is part of the fun.

different then the usual bend and thats what makes it dope. i just did my first bend with a kids keyboard. video on my page check it out. nothing fancy just started doing it.
