  • On Vinnie's website Vinnie said that he wasn't happy with this video because for some reason they put a backing track on the video which he wasn't playing to! So it sounds like he's out of time!!

  • @KeebRocks I didn't know that... so the backing track is added after. May be the original sound quality was not good enough?

  • @lauriemonk Yeah, not sure why they changed the backing. Vinnie only saw the video after someone had posted it on his forum and asked him if he's changed his playing technique which causes him to play behind the beat. Vinnie said it only sounds like that in this video since they changed the backing for some reason! Thanks for the video by the way! Vinnie's one of my personal heroes!! :p!

  • @KeebRocks Yes, I love the Minds Eye album. Vinnie Moore is just so melodic and his vibrato and bends just epic. A land mark release for sure.

  • @laurie - what dvd is this from?

    Jeff @ s hredknowledge

  • @shredknowledge it's not it was freely downloadable content from lick library from the Birmingham guitar show.

  • What Vinnie Moore is a bad player? Try asking Allan Holdsworth is he has the same opinion?

Most shredders just does the exercise routine (outdated sound/modes), ..Vinnie's sense of melody, and vast knowledge is tremendous that most guitarist doesn't have. And by the way, Vinnie can shred 'till your jaw drops. Vinnie uses his neck pickups for solos, incase people don't know. Bridge pickups are to edgy and harsh sounding. Anyone who says Vinnie's a bad player, is not a guitar player; Period!

  • sometimes the backingtrack has some latency while going to a recorder than going to the player's monitor... but Vinnie IS THE MAN, there's no doubt about that...

  • @joegt123 No, it's a prerecorded track.

  • So... who does his harmony? Cuz if it's not a prerecorded track of vinnie doing that himself, the guy doing his harmony is almost as good as he is if not just as.

  • fenomenal

  • What gauge strings does Vinnie use?? They loook pretty thick!!!

  • The instrumental scene back in the Shrapnel days gave us a bevy of guitarists that were trying to one up the other by going faster than the speed of light, filling a single bar with 128 notes but I always loved the melodic sense Vinnie Moore and Tony MacAlpine had.

  • I like the articualtion of the bridge humbucker better like the studio version. But hey it's Vinnie it would be just as awesome if he played it on a banjo!

  • Vinnie Moore fn rox!

  • @Carlosgtrsnk Yeah, he kinda calmed down and resorted to more jazz and blues type stuff...
