Audition for UCLA drumline. Unfortunately a little bit of sound/audio delay. I didnt make it in my first year, got cymbals instead. I'm the one slamming the cyms against the ground in this video

Hey man, let me ask u something. Your second exercise, last variation. Where did u get it? My teacher wrote that final part for a drumline called Tchadeggada here in Brazil. He's John Grant, blue devils '96. I was just hearing u when i noticed that you were playing this and i just was like : "maan, that's not possible!".

It was an exercise we played at my high school, my drum instructor there also marched BD but i'm not sure what year. Possibly the same year as your guy. I've heard it in a bunch of different places so it's a pretty popular exercise.

Im not surprised that you eventually made the snare line. I AM surprised that you didn't make it after this vid. You seem very tight with your visuals, your tempo and stick heights are consistent, your posture is on point....maybe they wanted for you to take a season to learn their system, marching style, etc. Because you can obviously play.

@bbauman2000 we play that same exercise at my high school. it's called chug and the tag at the end is called Darlz Arlz. our instructor's name is Niko Jasniewicz and he marched BD in '04 haha.
