  • Africa. The original. The imitated. They attempt to erase its history. They attempt to deny its accomplishment. It is they who are afraid of thier inferiority to Africa and its antiquity.

  • if you ever get the chance to check out the stonework of these places, you will find they are identical to the ruins of puma punka in Peru, right down to the 'keystone' cuts made in the rock for molten metal to be poured. there are many similarities. even though these sites are on different continents! yet no-one tell you that.

  • Africa the great, Africa the land where every-thing started! Africa the Mother of civilization. In Ancient times nobody call it Africa, Ethiopia was the original name.

  • @lionzion22 Thanks Lionzion, I was particulary interested in flute based and the two/three string 'violin' (its not a violin but the closest instrument I can compare it to) a friend of mine gave me a CD with some good tracks. I will search again on youtube to find the sound I'm looking for (just trying to recapture the sounds of my trip to Axum)

You can look up Azmari music here on tube or Ethiopian Jazz which exploded in the 70s. That may lead you to other traditional music like this video from Ethiopia/Tigray (Eritrea).
