30 seconds and a 30 cent screwdriver is all you need to defeat most common trigger locks.

This video was posted in response to a thread on CanadianGunNutz.com asking for help. Someone recently bought a shotgun and when it was shipped to him, the seller included a trigger lock - but not the combination.

This video demonstrates how easy it is to remove a trigger lock and that they are only useful to honest people. It is far more important to teach our children proper and safe gun handling than it is to just lock up the guns and forbid them to touch them.

This video is for demonstration purposes only and I assume no liability for any criminal actions that take place because of it.

  • I inherited my Fathers 3006, and can't find his key..was googling and found this video , and was stoked to see it was from Matt from CRR! thanks for video friend, from a fellow gun nutter in the Maritimes!

  • @DuoSonic87 :-) Glad I could help.

  • Is that one of the Stevens 300F trapper carbines? What glass do you have on there?

  • @chanman819 Yes it is. I had a Bushnell Banner 1.5-3.5x on it at the time I shot the video. Now it sports only its iron sights. Still very accurate. Check my "Stevens 300F at 200 yards" video to see how well it shoots.

  • Great video, thanks a lot! My father in law brought over a 22 that he couldn't find a key for. Following this video I had the lock off in probably 10 seconds!
