The heroines that you mentioned as being badass, actually still had love interests. I don't see how having a love interest makes a heroine somehow less strong. Being emotionless and not caring about anyone is not strength, it's called being a sociopath. I'll keep reading my books, thanks.

Well, I'm sold. I've seen too many books/movies/etc with wimpy uninspiring heroines -- I will happily give this a try!

While the book sounds interesting, the book trailer is a turn off. Trashing the rest of the genre to sell your book pretty much made sure I won't be picking up this title.
