  • So depressing. It sounds like Douglas is entering the final moments of his life, a life that sounds like it's filled with regrets.

Purists with clamor with "Current 93 did it". Fuck the haters. Tibet or Pearce, I don't care. This almost brought me to tears with the amount of sincerity in the lyrics and the brooding piano.

Hopefully, neofolk will not lose this blossom to the snow anytime soon. Hail the white grain, Douglas. You'll always be a hero to me.

  • Great song, can't wait for the album!

  • @Clockworkz Amen.

  • DIJ till the end !

  • absolutely out of this world

  • This song makes me so sad... It isn't just music to your ears, it penetrates your body, you can feel it in your guts...

  • MASTERPIECE

  • Theres lots of musicians you listen to, that are dead but for a moment you think theyre alive, in the case of Douglas, its the opposite, and thats a good thing to me.

  • Awesome blossom :)

  • @pantaloondescendo I think All Pigs Must Die had a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde thing going on; the first half was really well composed, but everything starting with Lord of the Sties and onward seemed like so much of a rebellion against World Serpent that it stopped sounding like music, and therefore, became too removed from itself for my tastes (as well as many others).

  • @robertomartincich The final moments of his life?! The man's 55 years old, he's still got a shitload of life ahead, although I don't know if DiJ does. DiJ started to lose it the moment Douglas started collaborating with Albin Julius... then there are the godawful collaborations with Boyd Rice, wich have perhaps just a couple of good songs. (I like Boyd Rice, but those collaborations are awful). "All pigs must die" was ok, and so was "The rule of thirds"... this is new, so we'l have to see...
