YOU NEED TO USE LED IN COMBINATION WITH HPS NOT ALONE OR IT'LL BE FLUFFY. THE LED HELPS GIVE THE PLANT SPECTRUMS OF LIGHT ON TOP OF WHAT IT ALREADY NEEDS TO FLOURISH SUCH AS THE RED AND BLUE SPECTRUMS... MOST GROWERS USE A BLUE LIGHT (MH BULB OR FLORESCENT) DURING VEG THEN RED LIGHT (HPS) DURING FLOWER YET FULL SPECTRUM LIGHTS (BOTH RED & BLUE COMBINATION OF MH & HPS) WORK BEST IN BOTH STAGES. ED IS SAYING MORE (GREEN & AMBER) SPECTRUMS LIKE LED IN COMBINATION WITH HPS OR MH WILL BE BENEFICIAL.

Ed Rosenthal is not an idiot about growing and breeding cannabis. better believe this man. and cheap ass shitty LED's wont be very good of course. I'd still wait 5 years to buy LED's for growing, they should be cheaper then and they should have better technology then.

ive really wanted to believe that leds work well, but there aint a video from a credible source out there...it needs someone like ed himself, or any of the other "superstar growers" to do a side by side,fair test...not these companies that are actually producing them. In england, the shops say that penetrative light is crap on them; seeing as i prefer one bush to 9 small plants, they would be crap for me...i really wanna believe that they are good, but i cant find any convincing evidence...

Most manufactures don't have the juice but check out my LED Grow Light Comparison video, it shows a stellar PAR rating for an Apache Tech Panel
