This is actually a very powerful song. beside s the music I love what they did with the lyrics. Instead of saying "British" or "Australian" or "Ottoman" the band just sings "They". They don't pick sides, both sides suffered horrid causualties in that campaign, both were miserable and both cae out the worse for it. That's why this song is one of my favorites from Sabaton, it doesn't pick a side to sing for...

@TheNextAliceCooper "Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won."-Duke of Wellington
Only sadists can experience joy on a battlefield.
There will always be idiots who want to waste lives for their own fame. Hopefully we will have eyes to see them and the guts to stand up against them.

Debut of this song sounds like "gutter ballet" from Savatage........

"Broken promises, they won't be coming home."
That line in the lyric really is wonderful. Every soldier makes that promise when they ship off.
I'd love to see this on Scuzz.

"There is no enemy
There is no victory
Only boys who lost their lives in the sand" Politicians then and now should never forget these lines!!!
But they will, unfortunately...
