Each year in China more than 130 million migrant workers travel home for the New Year's holiday—the one time they'll reunite with family all year. The mass exodus constitutes the world's largest human migration. Amid this chaos, director Lixin Fan focuses on one couple who embark upon a two-day journey to see their children.

  • i'm latin and i can't find a version with spanish subtitles, but i REALLY want to see it so i'll watch it however.

  • amazing .. thanks for sharing .. god bless

  • wow.. i will not travel in that situation..

  • a documentary that reflects the often harsh life of Chinese migrants and Chinese factory workers, punctuated with few choices for survival. I hate the fact that Chinese parents put so much pressure on their kids to help the family prosper like but the same sayings "Get good grades in school" and "Study hard" have been repeated for centuries as a way out of poverty. Unfortunately, the kids are their ticket out. And when that doesn't work out, the entire family despairs.

  • great doc! would love to see a follow up doc. And the camera shots were awesome, like it wasn't there, one of the best camera works i've seen.

  • I am a Chinese grown up in China, there are so many extremely poor people around the countryside, they come to the city work 12 hours a day, get the lowest pay just sufficient to buy food, some of them just don't have enough money to by a train ticket to go home once a year. but the government just ignore them , still pour trillions money to some gala ceremony like Olympics games, what a shame.

  • Great documentary, very interesting.

  • i have seen this film it is incredible! i have never seen anything like it before...us westeners really do live a sweet life...while these guys slave away in factories we work easy hours, party every w.e and still complain about our little problems... you should see this film! and recommend all your friends to see it too!
