He's an extremely popular Senator.... What does resume or "success" have to do with anything? Bush was a damn failure yet ignorant right wing Americans got him into power, illegally I might add. I would also like to add that its not the "uber left" that support him, its the majority of Americans, 65% of the vote says your a tool...

Typical of someone from the right you don't argue with the points he makes, you make meaningless ad hominum attacks. Personally I think not being a professional politician is a good thing. By the way, which corporation owns him? Check it out, none. What lobbyists does he hang out with? None. He's not even beholding to a political party. That's the kind of legislator or president I would want.

There needs to be a perfect compromise. Yes corporations hold too much wealth but government jobs do not equate to growth.

"We are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are determined to destroy this system under all conditions."

Conservatives view the government as, more often than not, a destroyer of jobs and wealth, not a creator. We don't view government as being capable of stimulating the economy from the top down. A real jobs bill would be a complete overhaul of our tax code, creating a more competitive environment to attract investment on our shores. Why should we have the highest corporate tax rate in the world?
