I am guessing that he is clicking when the dog finds a treat on the track as it appears the dog pauses to eat something (but doesn't eat every treat it passes by). A jackpot (handful of treats) when the dog finds the articles (although the handler is telling the dog to down instead of shaping that behaviour). The longline is between the dog's legs to help keep the dog's head down instead of inadvertently pulling it up or to the side.

Im a little confused, what exactly were you training here? And why the leash inbetween the dogs legs?
