I agree here. This performance is simply what it means to love the pillows; Sawao's energy. Manabe's playing. The rocking out between Jun and Sawao during the rad solo. The unclear, bent awesomeness of Manabe during the solo. I came the first time I saw this, seriously.

This song is right up there with Last Dinosaur. And NO he DID NOT mess up the guitar solo, perhaps you are a noob to music or have never seen a band live, or perhaps you are not a musician yourself, but bands (I.E. Incubus) like to "mix it up" while on stage, in order to keep things fresh. There weren't any sour notes and any that may have been off were bent into key as expected. If you want to hear the song note for note every single time with no variations then stick to the studio CD.

Oh shit, this is awesome!
I thank you pillows for the awesome music we've seen from you.

heres an idea genius
whats if hes just alterating how he plays it
when they played Swanky Street at the liquid room in 1997
(not on youtube i think)
the solo was whacked out so..

Your theory would work except that he's basically playing the same solo he does on the album, but off-pitch. And it sounds bad.
Usually when they switch up how they play a song it still sounds decent, not like this.
He screwed up. Deal with it.

He didn't screw anything. YOU LIE!
Manabe is a genius, Sawao is the coolest, Jun is strong and Shinichirou is the best drummer ever.
The Pillows are the best band on this planet. Followed by the Pees of course. ;)

Well, most of the time. He's mostly used as just a standard only-play-the-eighths bassist. Biscuit Hammer comes to mind as an exception. :D

Yeah, that's a good one. He gets a pretty nice riff in Terminal Heaven's Rock, too. Thing is, Jun is a solid bassist. His playing is just a lot simpler than some of the pillows' previous bassist, and from that comes the harsh criticism.
