@bw2082 I do not profess to be perfect, and admit I started too slow. I am an amateur musician who was playing here at a house concert. If you wish to belabor the point further, then I welcome you to post a response that does better than I do. Until then, please kindly blow it our your ear.

you can make whatever justification you want about your tempo, but it's still terribly slow and ponderous

@bw2082 I do start too slow here. I believe that most pianists take this piece too quickly, and deprive it of the processional character that it should have. I settle into a more normal tempo by the second statement of the main theme. Totally my own failing.
