Les, has Jeff ever thought about narrowing his dip chance? Though a wider dip-stance may promote improved control over the direction of the drive, something may be given up in terms of power developed in the drive. Just a thought. I noticed the same thing for myself at max lifts until I narrowed my stance to a distance I would attempt a max vertical jump at. I also noticed less muscle fatigue in my legs readying for the dip/jerk with a "jump-stance."
