The "Sons of the Tones" was formed for one gig in Fairfax, VA in October, 2003. Three sons of the original Suntones, Bruce Cokeroft, Terry Franklin, and Todd Wilson - along with Joel T. Rutherford - make up the quartet. This was the first song from the afterglow performance.

  • Bravo!

  • Amazing :D

  • That can't be -- just for one gig! They're fantastic!! They could win the International Championship!!!! Please get together, guys!!!!

  • Nice singing!

What's the name of the composer?

  • You guys nailed it, you did them proud! Back in the mid-70's in Montreal the high school quartet I was in were huge Suntones fans (we even tried to pull off Bye Bye Blues, much to our teacher's consternation). We found out they would be appearing at Place Des Arts in a big Barbershop event. I still remember this song above all others, because of those closing chords. Made the hair stand up on the back of my neck back then, and did it again just now. :)

  • OMG! How amazing was that? What a treat! I mean, you guys on the ends were good (okay: great), but the Sons in the middle...! What a legacy. Thanks for sharing, Joel.

  • This is awesome. I'd love to see them do the BBS show curcuit.
