  • Yes, a balance between fingers and wrist motion. Wrist for volume & accents. Fingers for subtle notes between accents.

  • sorry but my drums have to much armonix and i want to eliminate them , i use y te floor tom the emads but in my opinion don´t funtion very well waht caind of drumheead you recomend me?

  • @musicians2011 Just so I understand. You are using a floor tom for BD...correct? What size is the floor tom 14-16"?

  • Hey Bob Great Vids. I recently upgraded my kit and my old bass drum has a deeper sound than my new one same size and tuning only difference is the hoops a metal/polymer on old and wood on new can you help me out?

  • Respond to this video... btw- I'm currently testing a new Evans BD head on dual 22" BD's. One is a maple shell the other a birch, same depths... completely different sound results.

  • Hi, how do you play so fast on the toms in the beginning? What technique do you use? Is it all fingers?

  • @musicians2011 its about 16" but it have alot of eco

  • @TDGRRANT Cool! That's makes me smile

  • @bobgatzen Thanks Bob got them good enough for me

  • @TDGRRANT Thanks T!

if I'm reading you right... you can't expect 2 "different" bass drums to perform exactly in the same manner... even if they're dimensions are exactly the same. In fact, even if your BD's were absolute DUPLICATES, there would be variables in the drum heads that would make it impossible to match (sound-wise) unless your really lucky!! Sound-wise?... Just get them as close as you can.
