  • Abriggs, You can start one. Try searching for local traditional jass societies or clubs. If they don't already, they'd love to have a youth band. It just takes a couple of guys with horns, a drummer to start. Learn Saints and a few other songs then start playing wherever you can. Dixie Dominus started with Retirement homes and farmer's markets and worked their way up to the big stages at the Sacramento Jazz Festival.

    It's very important that you have fun while you're at it. It'll show.
