Drilling offshore would make America energy independent.

You liberal jerks would want America to stop drilling for oil all together. Americas would have to stop driving cars, the price of food would go sky high because fertilizers are made from oil. The plastics industry would suffer. Practically every consumer item that we buy is made of plasics. Telephones, radios, computers, carpets, floors, etc are all made from oil. Idiotic liberals.
